OUR MISSION
The Diaper Bank of Greater Cleveland (DBGC) partners with local social service agencies to provide free diapers to low-income families while raising awareness of the basic health need for diapers.
ABOUT US
The Diaper Bank of Greater Cleveland (DBGC) is a diaper bank incorporated in the State of Ohio with a 501(c)(3) designation. Founded by native Cleveland resident Nakeisha Wells. Upon discovering that 1 in 3 families across the United States are experiencing diaper need and learning that infant abuse rates are significantly increased in households that experience diaper need, she began to search for a diaper bank in the Cleveland area.
After discovering that there were no diaper banks in Cuyahoga County, but there were more than 200 across the nation and 8 in other parts of Ohio, she knew that the issue could no longer be ignored and that something needed to be done. In May of 2019, DBGC connected with the National Diaper Bank Network and began working diligently to make a diaper bank a reality for Cuyahoga County.
The Diaper Bank currently has an amazing team of individuals that are dedicated to the mission of removing barriers for at-risk families and ending diaper need.
